The application of coal furnace slag as a new kind of admixture in pre-mixed concrete

　　Furnace slag is treated by water quenching under high temperature melting condition, and transported to the production or use unit to be dried. Due to combustion and slag making in furnace, its particle size generally varies from 1mm to 50mm, which is similar to the size of sand and gravel. The grinding time is about 45min, and the fineness is controlled between 7% and 10%. The grinding coal furnace slag is used as concrete admixture, which has a short time of condensation, a small amount of bleeding, a large viscous resistance of pumping, and can significantly improve the performance of concrete.
