The general standard of mechanism sand

1. Mechanism sand definition: Mechanism sand refers to rock, mine tailings or industrial waste granules with a particle size of less than 4.75mm, which is made by mechanical crushing and screening after soil removal treatment. But it does not include soft, weathered particles, commonly known as artificial sand.
 
2. Specifications of mechanism sand: The specifications of the mechanism sand are divided into four types: coarse, medium, fine and ultra fine according to the fineness modulus (Mx):
 
The fineness modulus of the coarse sand is 3.7-3.1, and the average particle diameter is 0.5 mm or more;
 
The fineness modulus of the medium sand is 3.0-2.3, and the average particle size is 0.5mm-0.35mm.
 
The fineness modulus of fine sand is: 2.2-1.6, and the average particle diameter is 0.35 mm-0.25 mm;
 
The fineness modulus of the ultrafine sand is 1.5-0.7, and the average particle diameter is 0.25 mm or less;
 
3. Requirements of mechanism sand: The particle size of the mechanism sand is between 4.75 and 0.15 mm, which has a certain proportional limitation on the stone powder of less than 0.075 mm. Its fractionation is divided into: 4.75, 2.36, 1.18, 0.60, 0.30, 0.15. The size of the granules should be continuous, and each granule should have a certain proportion. The granules are preferably cubic, and there are certain restrictions on the content of the needles.
 
4. Raw materials of mechanism sand: The raw materials of mechanism sand are usually granite, basalt, river pebble, pebbles, andesite, rhyolite, diabase, diorite, sandstone, limestone and so on. The finished product is distinguished by rock type and has differences in strength and use.
 
5. Grain type requirements of mechanism sand: The mine configuration requires fine particles for the crushed material. Generally speaking, the needle-shaped material enters the mill is more likely to be ground. The requirements for building gravel are just the opposite, with strict proportional restrictions on the needle shape. The reason is due to the fact that the cube particles have angular edges, and the edges and corners can play the role of locking the particles and the particles. At the same time, the cubic particles have stronger adhesion than the needle-like particles and the round particles, and occupy a larger surface area.
