Dry sand production is developed on the basis of wet sand making process. Compared with wet sand, dry sand production is not limited by water source and environment, production and operation are more convenient and the cost is lower.

Dry sand process: vibrating feeder → jaw crusher → cone crusher/impact crusher → sand making machine → vibrating screen → sand washing machine → finished material pile.

Among them, jaw crusher is used for the coarse crushing to crush large stone into medium size. Cone crusher and impact crusher are used in the fine crushing. Cone crusher is suitable for the crushing of hard stones such as basalt, granite and river pebble.Impact crusher is used for crushing of medium and low hardness stones such as limestone, bluestone. The crushed stones are directly fed into sand making machine for further crushing and shaping to produce mechanical sand that meets the grain size requirements. After being washed and dehydrated by the sand washing machine, it will be sent to material pile.

There are three main indicators of mechanical sand in the application of concern: the amount of powder, crushing index and modulus of fineness. The mechanism sand in the production process will inevitably be accompanied by a small amount of less than 0.08mm particle size of stone powder. According to the standard of natural sand quality, particles smaller than 0.08mm are defined as mud, and the content limit of mud is very strict.
