Question: Why should we strictly control the moisture content of the grinding material?

Reply:

Dear Arun,

In order to ensure the normal operation of the mill and improve the output of the mill and the quality of the finished product, the moisture of the material must be strictly controlled. When the moisture content of the material is large, the blockage occurs, and the fine powder in the mill adheres to the grinding body and the lining plate, so that the grinding efficiency is lowered, and in severe cases, the boring of the ventilating plate is blocked, resulting in poor ventilation of the milling machine. The material is difficult to pass, the output drops sharply, and the quality also causes large fluctuations.

According to the production experience, the moisture content of various materials can be controlled within the following range: limestone <1%, clay <2%, iron powder <8%, mixed material <2%, gypsum <8%, clinker <0.5% , coal <4%, comprehensive moisture control within 1.5%.
